In-house tools and expertise in modeling
& simulation, process design, and layout allow SB Microsystems
to carry out the complete design of a new device. Many projects
begin with theoretical proof-of-concept, continue to analysis
in the mechanical, thermal, and electrical domains, and conclude
with detailed design including final mask-level layout, circuit
design, and CAD drawing of traditionally-machined parts. Unique
capabilities at SB Microsystems include experience designing
systems that incorporate a biological element (biosensors) and
also integrating MEMS devices with circuits on the same silicon
substrate.
Devices are fabricated through a network
of commercial partners including semiconductor fabrication foundries.
The details of technical interfaces and the formalization of
agreements (including non-disclosures and pricing) with foundries
and vendors are already in place and are transparent to the
user.
Test
In-house test facilities allow for activities ranging from simple
acceptance testing to complete bench-top and environmental characterization.
We can provide fully packaged and tested sensors to our clients,
so that they can immediately begin animal or other testing specific
to their particular application. |
