Biographies

Ron Pivarnik Director of Program Management

Ronald Pivarnik, PMP is the Manager of Programs at SBM. Mr. Pivarnik is a certified Program Manager with more than fifteen years of experience participating on US Government, DOD, and commercial programs, contracting efforts, and business development. He has obtained a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Loyola University-Maryland. He spent thirteen years developing new processes for the manufacturing of next-generation microelectronics in support of national security objectives. He has been the program manager on QRC programs for the US Army and on several SBIR and STTR programs for the US Navy. He has successfully concluded twenty-two years in support of the Electronic Warfare Systems Specialty, on both the reconnaissance and electronic counter-measures side of the house for the US Air Force and Air National Guard. Ron has provided successful customer value through results driven program deliverables; using planning-driven project methodologies and practices from the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has proven track record for delivering on time and on budget results within matrixed organizations by leveraging team’s strengths. He has successfully met Customer objectives through the development of detailed requirements documentation, planning, and schedule development activities. This has been accomplished while focusing attention on the details that identify, reduce, or mitigate project risks and ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction. Mr. Pivarnik actively supports the Society of Engineering Alumni (SEA) activities for young future engineers at The Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Pivarnik is most often found supporting local programs to assist the disadvantaged with home improvement projects and supports a myriad of national charity events (for the Warfighter, ALS, Alzheimer’s, Leukemia, and Cancer societies).
